Objectives and Investment Policy Franklin US Income Equity Focus UCITS ETF (the “ Fund ”) investment objective is to provide income and capital appreciation from the US equity market. Investment Policy The Fund invests mostly in equities of US companies of large market capitalisation and equity -related securities with dividend yields that the investment manager believes are attractive. The equity and equity related securities in which the Fund can invest include common stocks, preferred stocks, equity -linked notes (ELNs) and securities convertible into common stocks. To a lesser extent the Fund may invest in securities of non -US issuers, including American Depository Receipts. Derivatives and techniques The Fund may use derivatives for hedging, efficient portfolio management and investment purposes. Strategy The investment manager uses fundamental analysis to evaluate a company’s long -term earnings or the value of its assets, while also being focused on the income which they may generate, and the Investment Manager’s assessment of their cash flow potential, p rice/earnings ratio and profit margins. Although the Fund maintains the flexibility to invest in securities of companies from a variety of sectors, from time to time the Fund may have substantial investments in particular sectors in which US large cap companies have a significant market share.
