The management company is DWS Investment S.A., a member of the DWS Group. # Objectives and investment policy The fund is actively managed. The fund is not managed in reference to a benchmark. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve mid to long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in equities from developed and emerging markets. ALLOCATION: The Investment Manager for the Fund is DWS Investment GmbH. The Investment Manager has appointed DWS Investments UK Limited as Sub-Portfolio Manager for the Fund. The Investment Manager will provide the composition of the Invested Assets, the “Proposed Allocation”, to the Sub-Portfolio Manager on a scheduled monthly basis (the “Asset Selection Date”). The Investment Manager may also provide a Proposed Allocation at other times where the Investment Manager wishes to update the Proposed Allocation on the basis of indicators which could impact the allocation, being economic or geopolicitcal indicators or otherwise at the request of the Sub-Portfolio Manager. The Proposed Allocation will be selected from an investment universe, consisting primarily of large, medium, and small-sized companies listed on regulated markets in developed and emerging countries (the “Investment Universe”). The Investment Manager will select the Proposed Allocation according to a strategy, which selects companies, whose expected sales and/or earnings growth and/or margins are higher than the broad market. Typically the selected companies are characterised by an increasing market share and a growing customer base combined with higher perceived customer satisfaction. This usually results in a Proposed Allocation of companies offering innovative new products that give the companies a strong bargaining position combined with a degree of pricing power. Although there are no limitations regarding country or sector weightings, it can be expected that certain sectors or regions may have no or low weightings, should more attractive stocks from other sectors/regions be identified.
