The Share Class, via the Fund, is passively managed and aims to invest so far as possible and practicable in the equity securities that make up the Index. The Index aims to reflect the performance of a subset of equity securities of eligible developed and emerging market countries with involvement in the production of metals that are required for the global energy sector’s transition from fossil-based systems of energy production and consumption to renewable energy sources. The Benchmark Index is comprised of issuers from the S&P Global BMI Index. Companies included in the Index must (i) have a 6-month median daily traded volume (MDTV) of at least US$3 million (US$2 million for existing constituents); (ii) have a free-float market capitalisation greater than or equal to USD $100 million; (iii) have a total market capitalisation greater than or equal to USD $300 million; (iv) be domiciled in an eligible country, as determined by the index provider. As part of the index methodology, companies that meet the eligibility criteria above are considered for inclusion in the Benchmark Index if they are determined by the index provider to have a sufficiently significant revenue exposure, per the index methodology, to transition metal related business based on Revere Business Industry Classification System (RBICS) categories.. These categories are grouped into 3 classifications: core metal categories (including copper and lithium), non-core metal categories (including zinc and silver) and diversified metal categories. The revenue exposure for each company is calculated using the aggregate revenues generated from core metal categories, plus the aggregate revenues generated from non-core and diversified metal categories multiplied by a revenue adjustment factor. The revenue adjustment factor aims to reduce exposure to companies identified in non-core metal categories and diversified metal categories. The Fund intends to replicate the Index by holding the equity securities which make up the Index, in similar proportions to it. The investment manager may use financial derivative instruments (FDIs) (i.e. investments the prices of which are based on one or more underlying assets) to help achieve the Fund’s investment objectives. FDIs (including FX contracts) may be used for direct investment purposes. The Fund may also engage in short-term secured lending of its investments to certain eligible third parties to generate additional income to off-set the costs of the Fund.
