Objectives and Investment Policy Franklin Emerging Markets UCITS ETF (the “ Fund ”) investment objective is to provide exposure to medium and large capitalisation companies in emerging markets Investment Policy The Fund invests in equities of emerging market companies of medium and large market capitalisation that are included in t he benchmark with similar weightings. The benchmark comprises the top quartile of stocks which are selected from the MSCI Emerging Markets Index (Net Return), using a selection process that applies four investment style factors (quality, value, momentum an d low volatility). Derivatives and techniques The Fund may use derivatives for hedging and efficient portfolio management. Strategy The investment manager seeks to minimise the difference between the fund’s performance and that of the benchmark (tracking er ror), regardless of whether the benchmark level rises or falls. The Fund is passively managed and seeks to replicate the benchmark by holding all of the Index securities in a similar proportion to their weighting in the benchmark. The Fund intends to track the performance of the Underlying Index which is comprised of 200 stocks selected from the MSCI Emerging Markets Index (Net Return). Such assets have historically been subject to price movements due to such factors as general stoc k market volatility, changes in the financial outlook or fluctuations in currency markets. As a result, the performance of the Fund can fluctuate significantly over relatively short time periods.
