The Share Class, via the Fund, is passively managed and aims to invest so far as possible and practicable in the equity securities (e.g. shares) that make up the Index. The Index aims to reflect the performance characteristics of a subset of equity securities within the S&P 500 Index (Parent Index), selected to be collectively compatible with the aim of holding the increase in the global average temperature (a "1.5°C global warming scenario"), at the Index level. The Index aims to meet the minimum standards of the Paris Agreement as described further in the Fund’s prospectus. The Index excludes companies based on their involvement in specific business activities, performance against the principles of the UN’s Global Compact and involvement in ESG controversies as determined by the index provider. The remaining constituents are then selected and weighted based on specific thresholds and other criteria as determined by the index provider with the aim of collectively meeting certain decarbonization targets whilst also collectively seeking to manage transition and physical climate risks and take advantage of climate change opportunities. The Parent Index measures the performance of the 500 largest companies (companies with large market capitalisation) within the US market, according to size, liquidity and free float criteria as determined by the index provider. Companies are included in the Parent Index based on the proportion of their shares in issue that are available for purchase by international investors. The Fund intends to replicate the Index by holding the equity securities, which make up the Index, in similar proportions to it. The investment manager may use financial derivative instruments (FDIs) (i.e. investments the prices of which are based on one or more underlying assets) to help achieve the Fund’s investment objective. FDIs may be used for direct investment purposes. The Fund adopts a best-in-class approach to sustainable investing, meaning it is expected to invest in the best issuers from an ESG perspective (based on the ESG criteria of the Index) within each relevant sector of activities covered by the Index.
