Type The Company is a closed -ended investment company whose shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange and is an alternative investment fund under the Alternative Investment Fund Man agers Directive. It may also hold property -backed securities from time to time. The Company aims to achieve long term real growth in dividends and capital value without undue risk. Intended retail investor The intended retail investor in the Company is a retail investor who is seeking long -term (at least 5 years) real growth in dividends and capital value from investing predominantly in directly held UK commercial property, and, from time to time, in property -backed securities listed on the London Stock Exchange plus cash or near cash securities , pending re -investment . Gearing The Company has the ability to borrow and to charge its assets as security. The Company has a longstanding policy of funding most of the increases in its property portfolio through the judicious use of borrowings. Gearing will normally be within a range of 25 per cent. and 50 per cent. of the total portfolio. The Company will not raise new borrowin gs if total net borrowings would then represent more than 50 per cent. of the total assets.
