It is intended for both institutional and retail investors. As MMIT invests in equities it may therefore be subject to volatility. This requires an elevated risk tolerance and capacity. Investment Objective The Company’s investment objective is to achieve long -term capital growth and income returns predominantly through investment in a diversified portfolio of companies exposed directly or indirectly to emerging or frontier markets. # COMMENTARY Emerging markets outperformed their developed market peers in April. The month began with Trump’s so - called ‘Liberation Day’ tariff announcements, which shocked global markets, triggered sharp sell -offs and caused the largest jump in the VIX index since th e pandemic. However, Trump later retreated from these extreme measures, implementing a 90 -day pause and setting a 10% baseline tariff for all countries except China. This shift provided some relief to global markets although volatility remained high throug hout the month. A full -blown trade war erupted between the US and China following ‘Liberation Day’ and by the end of the month, US tariffs on Chinese imports had risen to 145%, while China’s retaliatory tariffs on US goods reached 125%. Over the period, the Mobius Investment Trust’s (MMIT) net asset value per share (NAV) and share price returned -3.1% and -4.0% respectively, while the MSCI EM Mid Cap Index Net TR (GBP) returned 0.4%. The divergence was largely driven by heightened uncerta inty and negative sentiment, which disproportionately impacted smaller, quality names particularly in the technology sector. Despite this challenging backdrop, several portfolio companies reported better -than -expected results for Q1 2025 and issued positiv e forward guidance, reinforcing our confidence in the underlying fundamentals. Encouragingly, as of the time of writing, we have observed a first recovery in a number of these holdings. The main contributors to April performance were Korean medical device manufacturer Classys (+0.8%), Brazilian software provider TOTVS (+0.6%), and Taiwanese semiconductor IP licensing business eMemory (+0.5%). The main detractors to April performance were Taiwanese electronic ink producer E Ink ( -0.9%), Turkish software provider E Ink ( -0.8%), and Indian software provider Persistent Systems ( -0.7%).
